HoTT 10mmA while back, in an apparent desperate attempt to get the roleplayers interested in figure gaming I ran a fantasy wargames campaign. It had a large role playing element and a simple wargames element.
This simple wargames element was the Hordes of the Things ( HoTT) fantasy rule set. To keep costs to a minimum we decided to use 10mm scale armies, at the time predominantly Pendraken figures. These armies have expanded over time, as has the number of suppliers working in the 10mm scale, Kallistra and Games Workshop featuring strongly in our armies.
The whole campaign was run using a set of rules based on the Games Workshop Mighty Empires rules, the latest version is available in the downloads section.
Some of the early armies to make an appearence included Kevin's Amazon and Dark Elves, John's Undead, Mike's Dwarves and various Goblin/Orc combinations. Many more have been added since, including City States Human, Centaur, Barbarian, High Elf, Wood Elf and Orc. 10mm Dark Elf Hero
In fact the idea of using the HoTT rules has caused us to look at other area's that interested us and currently there are several 10mm Samurai clans being painted as well as Roman, Greek and Gaul armies (Mike, you really do need a Dacian army).
In addition the club recently ran a competition using the HoTT rules, though that was for 25/28mm armies.
