Dr Who Full Moon Rising
28mm Sci Fi Participation game by the SFSFW. In a barren and deserted part of the Sutherland Mountains, a small group of TA soldiers lost on exercise in the mists, stumble into a strangely deserted hamlet and discover two things. A locked, old fashioned Police Box and smashed robotic remains surrounded by blood pools and the smell of singed hair. The young lieutenant turned to his RSM and said "Its very quiet RSM". The RSM grunted back " With the greatest respect sir, if you think I am going to respond to that, you must be mad because in the films that's when a shot comes out of nowhere and I cop it!!"

The Mailed Fist present 'TheBattle of Edgehill, 1642'
On Sunday 23rd October 1642, the forces of the King Charles 1st of England stood on the slopes at the bottom of a ridge near the village of Radway, South Warwickshire. As the early morning mist cleared, the king looked across the gently sloping fields, and saw an army arranged in battle order, ready to fight against him. An army of Englishmen led by Robert Deveraux, The Earl of Essex. The forces of Parliament and England ( in the Kings view, an army of rebel traitors) had mustered and now stood ready to challenge the divine right of the king and overthrow his reign.
As the King rode amongst his troops to take their salute, the Parliamentary generals , incensed by the king's casual disregard, ordered their cannon to opened fire….....and so began the first major battle of the English Civil War and the terror that would pit father against son and brother against brother, would blight the land over the next decade. The Mailed Fist Wargames Group is planning to recreate this seminal battle, in miniature on a table approximately 12’ x 6’. The battle could have decided the outcome of the war in one blow, but instead, after fighting all day, ended in a nervous stand off by both sides, neither one wanting to commit to battle for a 2nd day. Supposing Charles had attacked again with his cavalry, now returned to the battlefield, or had Essex attacked with his infantry reinforcements, arriving throughout the night, which made him numerically superior. The outcome would have changed history.
The display will be taken to shows and events predominantly around the North West region of the UK. The aim of the display is to create an awareness and perhaps a greater understanding of the English Civil War and how this has shaped the Monarchy, Government and Nation that we know today.

LARP Stand and Demonstrations
Basically we'd be looking at putting out some promotional material, various bits of LARP kit (weaponry, armour and costume and monster gear etc) and a fighting arena and possibly a small outside area we could set younger players some LARP /fantasy related challenges in.
We'd also have some of our players in costume wandering around the hall if thats acceptable between demonstrations and the like as most are keen gamers as well?

Gunfight at the OK Corral
A visually stunning game that was a major attraction at the two day GAMES EXPO event in 2011. The most famous shootout in history as you've never seen it before !
It's 3pm on the 26th of October 1881 in the town of Tombstone Arizona. Two groups of men face each other across a dusty vacant lot. Marshall Earp Commands "Throw up your hands, I want your guns". Two pistols are heard to cock and the Marshall shouts"No I don't want that". Someone else mutters "Son of a bitch" and then all hell erupts as a fusillade of shots ring out. What happens next ? .... Well today let your actions & the dice decide !
